For the duration of the Emergency Order for COVID-19, DRS will be present on campus on an as-needed basis. Please observe the following steps when requesting DRS services:Please coordinate all radioactive materials deliveries with DRS directly through email (rss@illinois.edu) or telephone (333-2755). If possible, please provide a tracking number for each delivery to rss@illinois.edu. Please include additional information in the Special Instructions section of all waste pickup requests to indicate whether the pickup can wait until normal campus operations resume.
The Division of Research Safety is seeking applicants with a minimum of two years of experience working with hazardous chemicals in a laboratory environment, examining chemical reactivity, handling hazardous waste materials, and providing laboratory chemical/safety/industrial hygiene support. This Research Safety Professional position will provide technical guidance to facilitate the safe conduct of research, teaching and related activities associated with the Urbana-Champaign campus.
